Dynamo Soccer Board of Directors Meeting Minutes June 3, 2002 6:30 p.m. at Shabbona School Attendance: Kirk Malmer, Kelli Wadley, Ed Smith, Doug Wadley, Tammy Malmer, Jeff Gindy, Jeff Johnson, and Marla Krutsinger, Brian Rogers, Dave Diveley Committee
Reports: Grounds— Kirk made a motion to pay $60 to have the lawn care service kill weeds in the gravel. Ed seconded, motion passed. Dennis Baron will be asked to send a letter to Tri-City regarding picking up the first dumpster; they have not responded to Kirk’s requests or recent calls. A&J has a small dumpster there now; we will need a larger one once the season gets going. Ed will contact them to get this set up. Equipment— Nothing new to report. Coaches—Nothing
new to report.. Registration—Coaches
have been matched up and teams are preliminary set to begin draft tonight
following meeting. Additions will be made following the late registration. Publicity—Target Corporate office will not approve the sign. They can donate supplies or money for a traveling team if approached. Dave will contact other businesses to see if they are interested in paying $100 for a 4’ x 4’ square of the sign to paint an approved logo for one season. Sponsors— Nothing new to report. Fundraising—No
report. Concessions— No report. Team Parents—No report. Referees—No report. Pictures—No report. Building—No report. Officer Reports: Treasurer-Updated statement was filed with the secretary. Parent Rep-Nothing to report Secretary-Nothing to report. Vice President-Nothing to report President-Ed received a check for $200 as a donation from the Friendship Festival Committee. Kelli will send a thank you. New Business: -Jeff Gindy presented a letter from a parent requesting that her 10-year-old son be allowed to play in the 8-9 age group with his brother due to special issues. After much discussion it was decided that this would not be permitted. Kelli will contact the parents and inform them and offer to have the younger brother play up in the 10-11 age group. Old Business -Jeff Gindy checked
into lightning detectors and a weather radio. A walkie-talkie with a 5-mile
range requiring an FCC license sells for $75. A 2-mile radio sells for $40 and
some include a NOAA weather radio. A lightening detector sells for $189. -Jeff reported that
there is currently $2100 for the defibrillator in the Heart Start Fund. $500
from the Village, $1,000 from Riverside, $500 from St. Mary’s, and $100 from
the Firefighters. Meeting adjourned
