Board of Directors Meeting Minutes
September 11,2006 Dynamo Fields

Attendance:  Vernette Karnes, Ed Smith, Kurt Karnes, William Smierciak, Sarah Powers, Mark Goldfain, Ben Smith, John Hall, Greg Mattson, Josh Posanka, Mary Kyrouac, Scott Kyrouac, Tammy Malmer, Kim Butterfield, and Dave Jackson

Visitors: Mark Howard

Ed called the meeting to order at 7:14

Ed questioned if there were any corrections to the meeting. Vernette motioned to accept minutes, Ben seconded.  Passed.

Officer Reports:

A.     President- Nothing to report.

B.     Vice President- 12-14 Year Old Coach AH was red carded.  He already had issue with 2 referees.  The disciplinary committee has met, but have not made a decision.

C.     Secretary- Vernette is starting to work on the tournament schedule.

D.   Treasurer- Mark needs the volunteer information so that he can issue checks.

E.   Parent Representative- Mary advised that the pictures and the plaques are in.  Mary gave Mark the coach and team parent volunteer information.

Committee Reports:

A.   Fields and Grounds- Greg is getting bids for all fall field maintenance.

B.   Sponsors- Nothing to report.

C.   Fundraising- Fundraiser is set to be delivered on time.  It will be in on September 30^th.

D.   Concessions- Nothing to report.

E.   Equipment- William is still working on the uniform issue with Dr. Mehta’s team.

William will order shorts for the u14 Old Mill teams.

William will order more goalie jerseys.

F.    Coaching- Tami advised of game times that will affect field availability for Old Mill tryouts.

G.  Schedules- Nothing to report.

H.   Pictures- Mary and Sarah are working on delivery date.

I.    Building- We need to add baby changers in both bathrooms.  Kim motioned and Tammy seconded that Chris look into.  Passed.

J.     Draft-. Dave motioned to utilize ratings for the 8/9 divisions and up using a document in process.  The ratings will just be for an overall rating along with designating goalies.  Scott seconded.  Passed.

K.    Publicity- Nothing to report.

L.    Referee in Chief- Nothing to report.

M. Risk Management- Nothing to report.

N.   Assistant to the Vice President-Nothing to report.

Old Business

The game during Olivet Soccer’s halftime was successful.  Mark is looking to continue next year.

Ben sent an email on instructions for Silent Saturday.  Ben asked that the referees remind the coaches.

New Business

Mark advised that Kankakee 1^st Church is adding on and will be available to hold indoor soccer.  Mark was not sure when it would be available.  It may be available in January.

Josh will check on availability of dates for fall indoor.  Dynamo wants to hold a fall and winter session.

There will be a coaches’ game on September 23^rd at 4:00 .

Ben and Mary will work on holding a Dynamo Day in 2007.

John suggested that we look at moving tournament back a week and leave open week next year.
