Board of Directors Meeting Minutes
October 9, 2006 Dynamo Fields

Attendance:  Vernette Karnes, Ed Smith, Kurt Karnes, Jeff Gindy, Sarah Powers, Ben Smith, John Hall, Josh Posanka, Tammy Malmer, Scott Kyrouac, William Smierciak, Greg Mattson, and Dave Jackson

Ed called the meeting to order at 6:50

Visitors: The members of the Malmer’s 3 x 3 team raffled off blanket to Dynamo’s board members.  Ed won.

Several visitors regarding 6/7 game between harder Brothers Constuction and Bank of Bourbonnais.  Jennifer Harder felt that the intensity of the game was too great.  She felt that there were inappropriate comments during game.

Efrain Davilla stated that he did not handle the game any differently than he has in the past.

Officer Reports:

A.     President- Email any suggestions for next year to Jeff.  Any constitution changes should be emailed to Vernette and Jeff.

B.       Vice President-  Nothing to report.

C.   Secretary- Nothing to report.

D.    Treasurer- Mark motioned, John seconded to purchase the building insurance from Grinnell Mutual for 1 year premium of $686.00 and extend the policy so that renewal date is 12/1/07 .  Passed.

E.   Parent Representative- Nothing to report.

Committee Reports:

A.     Fields and Grounds- Greg received bids for fertilizer.  The bids were $1228.00 from Art’s Landscaping for 2600 pounds and $900.00 for $4000.00 from Payne’s.  Greg motioned, John seconded to utilize Payne’s.  Passed.

Kurt will walk fields and mark map of areas that need work.

B.   Sponsors- Ben and Josh will work on sponsors for indoor.

C.   Fundraising- Kim is ready for fundraiser.  There were 11 bounced checks totaling $434.50. Team parents/coaches who pick up fundraiser will be reminded to keep in cool place.

D.   Concessions- Vernette recommended that for 2007 that Dynamo look at percentage of profit to base any possible bonus for concession manager.  Vernette motioned, Jeff seconded to give Kim Smith $1500.00 bonus for 2006 season.  Passed.  Ed, Ben abstained.

E.     Equipment- The bid only bid for t-shirts for Old mill was $4.25 for red shirt with black logo.

F.    Coaching- Nothing to report.

G.  Schedules- Nothing to report.

H.   Pictures- Nothing to report.

I.    Building- Chris has the toilet paper dispensers.

J.   Draft-. Nothing to report.

K.    Publicity- Nothing to report.

L.    Referee in Chief- Nothing to report.

M. Risk Management- Nothing to report.

N.   Assistant to the Vice President-Nothing to report.

Old Business

The Silent Saturday and coaches’ game were a success.

Ben will chair tournament committee for “Dynamo Invitational” next year.

New Business

Need to look at grading parking lot and barriers/solutions for parking.

Annual dinner December 1^st.  We will look for place for dinner.

There have been requests for an older age group for Dynamo.

Next meeting October 23^rd 6:30 pm , LeVasseur.
