Association located in Bourbonnais Illinois serves 965 children ages five to
fourteen in Kankakee, Iroquois and Will Counties to provide an organization
where children learn and play recreational soccer, the world's most popular
sport.

Exploration Station...a children's
museum is a hands-on exploration and discovery museum for children and their
families, teachers and other caregivers.
Fishing the Kankakee River
The Kankakee is predominantly a clear, shallow stream
with gravel-rubble riffles, sand-bottom pools and swampy marsh areas along the
upper portion. Larger pools are formed by dams at Momence, Kankakee and
Wilmington and by the Dresden Lock and Dam on the headwaters of the Illinois. An
aquatic resource of about 3,338 acres exists on the Kankakee.

traditional ball golf, however players use flying discs.

Gathering on the Theatiki
Our purpose for hosting the Gathering on the Theatiki is to produce a quality
living history event focused on the lifeways of the people around the time of
the French and Indian War 1754-1763. It enables us to show visitors the daily
lives of the voyageur, French and British Military Units, Woodland Indians,
Scots, Merchants, craftspeople and the women and children who traveled with
them.

Innovative Volleyball Club began in 2006-07.
Currently, Innovative Volleyball Club is representing players from BBCHS,
Clifton Central, Coal City, Iroquois West, Joliet Catholic, Manteno, Milford,
Momence, Morris, Plainfield South, Reed-Custer, Seneca, St. Anne, and
Wilmington. Our primary objective is teaching modern volleyball skills and
strategies to High School and Junior High School players within a
TEAM environment.

The Irish Brawlers are the
McNamara's youth wrestling club. They meet every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
evenings at McNamara. Tournaments are scheduled for Sundays. Please contact Andy

(KASG) is your local astronomy group. We currently have about 45 members of
all ages with different experience levels in astronomy. Some of our members
haven’t bought a telescope yet, so don’t feel intimidated. We want everyone to
enjoy the night sky. Our mission is to help others learn the night sky and share
our experiences with the public. Our club meets the first Saturday of every
month, at the Strickler Planetarium on the campus of Olivet Nazarene University,

Students ages 4 - 18 are invited to attend the Ninth Annual
Kankakee Valley Piano Camp. The camp will be held at the Larsen Fine Arts
Center at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois, beginning with
registration Monday morning, July 14th, and ending on Friday afternoon, July
18th. Students will have the opportunity to participate in piano, voice, and
ensembles as well as classes with master teachers. There will be performances,
activities, and final student recitals.

100 participants in our first race in 1996 to 545 in 2007. Financial support

$10,000 in 2007. You may choose to donate to Autism Speaks or to The Kankakee

youth soccer club with the intent and purpose of developing the youth into a
total soccer player. We do this through professional training and competition at

The Soldiers have changed their name from ‘Chicago Heights’ following a move
to Kankakee (IL) for their second IBL season. With a full slate of home games,
a new home venue, and a tremendous amount of community support, the Soldiers
should be able to significantly improve in 2008. The Soldiers will play home
games at the Kankakee Community Resource Center.
The International Basketball League is
a fourth year basketball league featuring two rules that reduce dead time: 1)
one timeout per quarter 2) an immediate inbound. The result is an athletic game
that is very fun to watch
